Description:Marlene is in charge of decorative presentation and packaging, hand-made wrapping and unordinary design of additive gift elements. She involves natural items in her projects: moss, grass, stones, leaves and flowers, as her signature components.

Description:

A graphic designer by profession, I have an eye for all things beautiful, natural or manmade. I love to play with colours and shapes. After moving to Dubai from New Delhi, India, I was working with an Interior Design company. A couple of years back, I chanced upon this wonderful art called Punchcraft, creating 'Joy' from little pieces of paper, and instantly fell in love with it. Bringing out the 'magic in your fingers' is what I like to call it. And I discovered that I love to share this skill with others too. Hence began teaching! I conduct paper craft workshops for children and adults. It gives me immense pleasure to see the delight on the face of the crafters when they first discover how simple techniques of cutting, embossing and colouring can completely change the personality of paper and give it a new life. A couple of my students, if I can call them so, who started with me in such workshops, have gone way ahead, and taken it up as a full time profession. It feels good to help people find the hidden artist in them. What I do is only an initiation, after that it is the artist's own journey.
